The Palm Lake Opry

The Palm Lake Opry offers weekend evening entertainment that the whole family can enjoy. Located just on the north side of Foley, near the Beach Express turn-off, the Palm Lake RV Park has a really nice facility which seats 350 folks where each Fri & Sat night a wholesome musical review is presented. A BBQ supper is offered in the same building before show time. It appears that quite a few 'regulars' come who enjoy the friendly social supper hour before the show as much as the show itself. The Palm Lake Opry includes country classics, southern gospel, 50's and patriotic music. The first Friday night of every month is Southern Gospel Music Night. 

 Sometimes special events are offered like the Antique Car Show and the Hank Williams & Mini Pearl Tribute Show. The doors open at 6:00, show starts at 7:30 and lasts 2 hours. Admission regular opry shows is $10 at door, $8 if purchased online (2005). Special shows may have different ticket prices. Check the schedule at buy tickets at the Palm Lake website.

The Palm Lake facilities are available for private functions. They can seat up to 500 for a large conference, but have been rented for parties, family reunions, bridal showers, etc. Their catering menu covers "finger foods" to steak dinners.

The evening opens with the Pledge of Allegiance, a prayer and continues with jokes and humor as well as the great music.

Many people do not know that Alabama even has beaches, but Alabama has the most beautiful white sugar sand beaches around. The weather is glorious, the area is full of golf courses, and the Alabama Gulf Coast has been a steady award winner in family beach vacation categories. Gulf Shores is the original and most well known part of the beach, Orange Beach has been more recently developed and Perdido Key is right next to Orange Beach.  We do not have nearly the traffic problems that the Destin area seems to have now-a-days. The prices are very reasonable down in Dixie, the weather is exceptional, and the people are the friendliest ever !
